DIRECT HIRE Physical Therapist Assignment

Clinical Magnet (part of ICON Medical) is hiring a Physical Therapist for a full-time, permanent opportunity with a leading community hospital in Hickory, North Carolina . This is an excellent opportunity for both new graduates and experienced clinicians to join a collaborative, patient-focused team in an acute care setting.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist evaluates patients and develops individualized treatment plans to maximize functional mobility and independence. This role focuses on restoring function, preventing disability, and promoting overall wellness through evidence-based interventions. The PT will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and supervise support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy services
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as needed
Promote prevention, wellness, and health education initiatives
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and non-licensed personnel
Assist with weekend acute care coverage on a rotating basis

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
Active North Carolina PT license (or compact state license)
BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months)

Position Overview:

Schedule: Flexible - 4 or 5 days per week
Weekend Rotation: Approximately 1 in every 5-6 weekends (with a day off before and after worked weekend)
Setting: Outpatient setting
Compensation: $36.86 - $58.98/hour (based on experience)
New Grads: Encouraged to apply
