We have an exciting opportunity for Full-Time Budtenders (Cannabis Patient Care Specialists) to join us on our journey to transform our bold ambitions for the Missouri medical and recreational cannabis market into a reality. Our Budtenders (Cannabis Patient Care Specialists) will work out of our location off of Wornall Rd in Kansas City, MO . This opportunity will start at $15/hour plus pooled tips, with the schedule to include possible weekends and evening shifts. Weekend availability is required as part of the regular work schedule. Responsibilities for Budtender/Cannabis Patient Care Specialist: Creating a positive, memorable experience for every Proper Cannabis customer; Ensuring the safety and satisfaction of every customer; Maintaining a thorough knowledge of all dispensary products and medicinal qualities; Inquiring about any potential issues the customers might be experiencing; Educating customers on a variety of available products that may achieve their desired outcome; Tailoring product recommendations to meet the customers' needs in compliance with state law; Answering any questions the customers may have related to dispensary products; Eliciting feedback from returning customers to further customize recommendations; Serving as a brand ambassador; Backing up team members as necessary; Maintaining customer confidentiality; Entering sales orders into the POS system; Maintaining an accurate cash count in the assigned drawer; Processing customer payments and dispensing change; Updating sales and inventory records accurately; Attending team meetings; Collaborating with dispensary staff during times of peak business volume, as directed; Performing assigned dispensary side job or jobs; Maintaining the cleanliness of the dispensary, ensuring adherence to hygiene and sanitation guidelines; Maintaining professional, positive, and effective working relationships. Requirements for Budtender/Cannabis Patient Care Specialist: HS Diploma or GED 1+ years in retail and guest services; Passion for cannabis; Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Customer service-oriented and team-centered with a positive attitude; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to gain and maintain a thorough understanding of the medicinal implications and effects of strains including Sativa, Indica, and Hybrids; Must be 21 years of age or older; Ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID by the start date, which may include submitting fingerprints and passing a criminal background check. Preferred, but not required: Familiarity with Missouri cannabis laws and regulations; 1+ years of cannabis retail experience. This position requires the ability to reach, bend, stoop, sit, and stand, and carry and lift up to 30 lbs. The work environment is an environmentally controlled retail store.
