Make a meaningful impact by supporting the educational journey of a 10th-grade student as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) on a contract basis. This opportunity is centered around providing individualized instruction and support to a female high school student coded as Blind Low Vision. Located in the Fishers, IN area, this position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week (pending reconfirmation).

In this role, you will collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to champion accessible learning. Bring your expertise and compassion to cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom experience that caters to your student’s unique strengths and needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Indiana state licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI) is required.
• Demonstrated experience working with students who are Blind or have Low Vision is highly preferred.
• Ability to provide one-on-one instructional and adaptive support.
• Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technologies, and accessible instructional materials.
• Comfortable collaborating with general and special education teams.
• Excellent communication, advocacy, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized support and instruction for a 10th-grade female student with Blind Low Vision.
• Adapt curriculum and classroom materials utilizing assistive technology and Braille as needed.
• Monitor and document student progress toward academic and independence goals.
• Implement strategies for self-advocacy and life skills development.
• Partner with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate a coordinated approach to learning.
