This role involves providing specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients in a Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU. The position is available for a full-time schedule, with shifts primarily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and requires delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic teaching hospital environment. Job Details: Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, a minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital pediatric intensive care unit experience, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications Preferred Qualifications: Critical care Registered Nurse (CRRT) experience, Pediatric Advanced Nursing (APHON) certification, pediatric teaching hospital experience Additional Information: The unit is a Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU with 15 beds, staffed by 38 healthcare professionals, including intensivists and nurses. Typical procedures include intravenous starts, blood draws, and TPT placements. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and in a teaching hospital environment. The unit utilizes Meditech / CPN electronic medical records system and general critical care monitoring equipment, with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
