Must Haves:
- 4–8 years of controls/automation engineering experience
- Strong PLC programming skills (ability to build from scratch)
- Experience leading projects cradle-to-grave
- Experience with system design, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Strong documentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 2 weeks at a time
Nice to Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Technology, Information Systems, etc.)
- HMI development experience (Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, etc.)
- Experience with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, ControlNet)
- Experience working with VFDs
Job Summary
This Automation Engineer role supports manufacturing clients with end-to-end controls and automation projects, from design through startup. The position requires strong PLC programming expertise, along with experience leading projects and supporting commissioning efforts. Candidates will work across system design, troubleshooting, and documentation while collaborating on various industrial automation solutions. The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded controls background and is comfortable traveling to support client projects.
