Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting residents with their daily activities. This may include bathing and dressing, taking vital signs, and collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, and providers. The CNA answers resident calls and observes residents for changes in skin integrity. They turn and reposition residents and transfer them to beds, chairs, or wheelchairs. The CNA maintains cleanliness in the resident care area by changing sheets and restocking supplies as needed. Demonstrated ability to communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending) is essential to understand, plan, and carry out resident care plans and activities of daily living (ADLs).
