Asset Protection Associate II, 2nd Shift

We anticipate the needs of our customers and business partners and deliver reliable, customer-centric technology services. \n \n What you’ll be doing: \n \n Keep the Asset Protection Manager informed of all potential workplace security and safety issues. \n Maintain order and control of the front desk, lobby areas and switchboard. \n Prevent internal theft by conducting scanning and bag checking of all employees and visitors exiting the facility. \n Monitor entrance and front lobby to ensure all visitors are authorized, logged in and escorted. \n Monitor entire property via CCTV system, fire, and burglar alarm systems to respond to incidents as needed across multiple fulfillment centers and delivery operations buildings. \n Audit physical security platforms (intrusion, access control & CCTV) across multiple buildings to ensure functionality of all systems. \n Analyze data & conduct video audits relating to Shrink & Cargo Loss across multiple buildings to mitigate risk. \n Monitor parking lot areas to report unauthorized visitors/vehicles or unlawful activity to leadership. \n Notify emergency personnel (police/fire) in the event of emergencies as appropriate. \n Assist and support leadership team with safety, emergency crisis and evacuation drills and real events as needed. \n Ensure regulatory compliance measures are being adhered to with associates and vendors that are entering the facility. \n Manage and maintain safety training and regulatory compliance training documents. \n Administer new hire safety training and annual refresher safety training. \n Monitor all inbound and outbound trailer activity in the trailer yard. \n \n \n What you bring to the table: \n \n Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. \n Ability to interact and communicate in a constructive and professional manner. \n Demonstrate competent general personal computing skills. \n Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain strict company confidentiality. \n Asset Protection background. \n Understanding of physical security processes, access control, and CCTV systems. \n Experience handling workplace violence incidents, safety incidents and building evacuations that require notification to Police and Fire. \n Strong written and verbal communication skills. \n \n Qualifications: \n What’s needed- Basic Qualifications: \n \n High school degree or GED, or equivalent experience \n 2+ years of related experience in warehouse operations or loss prevention/asset protection \n \n \n We Offer: \n \n Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups \n Flexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays) \n Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more perks and benefits \n \n \n #HTF At Staples, “inclusion” is an action word.
