Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Schedule:
- Night Shift: 18:45 - 07:15

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13-20 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

Requirements:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
- Preferred Certifications: ACLS
- Unit-specific Skills:
- Med/Surg; MS/Tele
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry remote monitoring
- Bowel obstruction management
- Colostomy/ileostomy care and feeding tube management
- Pre/Post Hemodialysis management
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line and peripheral line management
- Phlebotomy and IV initiation
- Chest tube management
- Non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration
- Wound care
- Isolation precautions and PPE

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry setting.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry results and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatment per physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Scrubs: Navy Blue or white
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start
- Must be able to work holidays
- RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved, no RTO during the first week. All RTO must be pre-approved.
