Job Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans designed to maximize residents' functional abilities, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings Provide skilled speech-language pathology services for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals, strategies, and recommendations Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary team Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary conferences Ensure compliance with all professional standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered Skilled nursing facility (SNF) and/or long-term care experience preferred Knowledge of current speech-language pathology treatment practices Experience with electronic medical documentation systems preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Flexible scheduling options available Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education Apply today and become part of the rehabilitation team at Heritage at Turner Park! #J-18808-Ljbffr
