Virtual Sign Language Interpreter | Virginia A contract position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. Key responsibilities include: Providing accurate and clear sign language interpretation during telehealth educational sessions. Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Adapting interpretation styles to meet the needs of diverse student populations. Preferred qualifications and experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpretation skills. Experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational or telehealth environments. Familiarity with telecommunication platforms and remote interpreting technology. Understanding of the challenges faced by deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Ability to manage multiple requests and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling. Location: Position based in Woodbridge, VA.
