You will take ownership of prototyping, machining and assembly operations, ensuring attention to detail and proper documentation as we develop next-generation nuclear systems./ppRoles and Responsibilities:/pulliSet up, operate, and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC mills (3, 4, 5-axis) and/or live tooling lathes for development hardware and test fixtures/liliMonitor, replace, and re-set cutting tools/liliPerform deburring on parts as necessary/liliProvide feedback to engineering to improve manufacturability of various components/liliComplete work instructions and other process documentation/liliWork across graphite, stainless, and high-temp alloys/li/ulpBasic Qualifications:/pulliHigh school diploma or GED/liliAbility to read and understand G-code, engineering drawings, GDT/li/ulpPreferred Skills Experience:/pulliExperience with machining stainless steel, exotic alloys (Inconel), and/or graphite/liliExperience operating Fanuc CNC controllers/liliAble to read and modify G-code based on the fly based on machine performance/liliExperience working in an RD machining environment/liliExperience working with a quality system (AS9100, ISO 9001, NQA1, or similar)/liliAble to balance/adjust priorities based on dynamic schedule demands/li/ulpAdditional Requirements:/pulliAbility to work long hours and weekends as necessary to support critical milestones/liliAbility to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted/liliBending, stooping, and standing for long periods of time may be needed to perform the tasks of the job/li/ulpLocation:/pulliWe are located in Torrance, CA in a 322,000 square foot, brand new facility featuring large open spaces for team collaboration, RD, and production, as well as easy access to the 405, 105, and 110 freeways. Generationally impactful companies, by definition, must accomplish the seemingly impossible. If it were easy, it would have already been done.
