With Boeing D6-51991 digital-model approval and ITAR registration, Spearman Aerospace supports demanding Tier-1 and Tier-2 aerospace assemblies where precision, repeatability, and traceability are essential./ph3Position Summary/h3pThe 5-Axis CNC Set-Up Machinist will be responsible for performing precise machine set-ups, proving out pre-developed programs, and running production parts to print on advanced 5-axis vertical machining centers. Programs are provided and fully verified by engineering; your role focuses on fixture installation, work offsets, tooling setup, part verification, and efficient operation in a high-mix/low-volume aerospace environment./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliSet up 5-axis CNC machines (Matsuura MX-330 PC10 pallet system, Doosan DNM 300/5AX and 200/5AX)./liliInstall and verify fixtures, workholding, and tooling for each operation./liliLoad, probe, and verify programs provided by the programming team (no editing required)./liliPerform part inspection using standard metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges)./liliMaintain proper documentation of setups, in-process checks, and part traceability under AS9100D quality procedures./liliCollaborate with engineering, programming, and quality teams to resolve issues related to tooling or fixturing./liliMonitor machine operation, make minor tool wear adjustments, and ensure efficient run time./liliMaintain a clean, organized work area and follow all company safety protocols./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulli7-15 years minimum of CNC set-up experience (5-axis preferred).
