Job Summary and Qualifications As a Quality Coordinator, you will coordinate quality initiatives along with the Quality Director to include Core Measures, peer review, OPPE/FPPE, Quality Data, and special QI projects. You will learn and perform additional duties within the Quality Management department. This position requires you to work on-site and attend frequent in-person meetings and respond to events within the facility on a regular basis. Responsibilities You will assist with coordination, dissemination and implementation of action plans to achieve compliance and improve core measures and quality initiatives You will perform concurrent review, abstraction, and IRR for Core Measures You will collaborate and educate physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary hospital staff to facilitate care management to achieve compliance in core measures and improve quality outcomes You will read, analyze, and record medical information for appropriateness of medical management You will perform in-depth analysis of medical records identified for potential quality issues and maintain documentation of quality issues You will effectively communicate or present information related to Quality Department initiatives and take action as directed which may include further review of data, sending letters or other actions as deemed necessary Experience Two years of acute care experience required One or more years’ experience with performance improvement – preferred Education Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) Bachelor's degree - preferred Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse with current State licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact If working under Compact License, must have current Texas licensure within 90 days of hire Benefits Heart Hospital of Austin offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
