Title: Network Support Engineer Location: Alpharetta GA - 4 days onsite @ Office and Plant Target Start Date: ASAP Type: (C, CTH, D) - CTH Pay Rate / Salary (Ranges OK): Salary at hire $110K - $120K This is a great opportunity for an early-career Network Engineer who wants to stay hands‑on and build experience beyond a traditional corporate IT environment. The engineer will work directly with networking equipment, servers, virtualization, and industrial technology while supporting the infrastructure behind large‑scale energy projects. The role offers exposure to both IT and operational technology, with the opportunity to troubleshoot real equipment, collaborate with several engineering disciplines, and continue growing technically within a rapidly evolving energy technology environment. Job Description We are seeking a hands‑on Network Support Engineer to support the installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and server infrastructure within an industrial environment. This person will work primarily from the company's Alpharetta‑area office and nearby factory, where they will configure and install switches, routers, firewalls, servers, and other network equipment; manage IP addressing and configuration files; troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware issues; perform maintenance and updates; and help ensure systems are properly configured and documented. The engineer will work closely with project, commissioning, Controls, SCADA, Systems Deployment, and network engineering teams to resolve issues and support project delivery. This position is intended for someone who enjoys working directly with both network technology and physical hardware rather than working exclusively in a remote or architecture‑focused capacity. The official position also includes supporting network design and project‑specific integration activities as needed. Required Skills: 2–3 years of relevant network support, network engineering, or similar hands‑on experience Hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment Cisco networking experience, including switches, routers, and firewalls Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, VLANs, switching, routing, and network configurations Hands‑on server and hardware troubleshooting experience Ability to physically install, inspect, and troubleshoot network and server hardware Experience diagnosing network connectivity, configuration, hardware, and software issues Experience with servers and enterprise IT infrastructure VMware or similar virtualization experience Ability to configure network equipment and systems from initial setup Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Ability to work onsite in the Alpharetta, GA area four days per week Bonus/Soft Skills: Spanish/bilingual capabilities CCNA or other Cisco certification Client server experience AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio experience Basic network design experience Linux server administration experience Shell/Bash scripting or Ansible experience Familiarity with Proxmox or Docker Experience with industrial or OT network environments Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3, OPC UA, or MQTT SCADA, industrial controls, BESS, renewable energy, or industrial infrastructure experience FAT/SAT or hands‑on lab testing experience JIRA/Scrum experience Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of technical problems We champion equality and inclusivity, proudly supporting an Equal Opportunity Employer policy.
