VMware Security Hardening Specialist

We are seeking a VMware Security Hardening Specialist to join our team and assist in securing our VMware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing and managing security controls in a VMware environment and be able to work collaboratively within IT and security teams to ensure that our VMware environment is secure and compliant with industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct security assessments of our VMware infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Develop and implement security hardening procedures for the VMware environment, including configuration and patch management, user access control, network segmentation, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate with the IT and security teams to ensure that security policies and procedures are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to security hardening procedures and security controls in the VMware environment.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the VMware environment and make recommendations for proactive measures to mitigate risks.

Requirements:

• Experience in conducting security assessments and vulnerability testing in a VMware environment.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and associated technologies.
• Experience with security frameworks and regulations such as NIST, CIS, and PCI-DSS.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or CISSP are a plus.
