This suburban mining environment and private ownership structure are the foundation for our commitment to building and operating great facilities for our neighbors, customers, employees, and vendors.**Job Summary**As a skilled Ironworker Fabricator you'll be responsible for welding and fabricating structural components for equipment and plant systems, ensuring durability and safety in demanding environments. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of mining operations, as you'll be involved in both maintenance and new construction projects. If you're a hands-on professional with a strong attention to detail and a passion for working with heavy equipment in the mining sector, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of our operations.**What Fabricators Do*** Perform various welding methods on equipment and plant structures to repair or fabricate parts, ensuring all welds meet safety and quality standards* Inspect, repair, and maintain mining equipment, including conveyors, crushers, and other heavy machinery* Fabricate and repair structural plant components such as supports, platforms, and equipment mounts* Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication and welding requirements* Troubleshoot equipment structural issues and develop effective repair solutions* Work closely with maintenance personnel, plant operators, and engineers to assess repair needs and prioritize work* Support preventative maintenance and inspection programs to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life* Provide welding and fabrication support for new construction, plant modifications, and expansion projects* Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment as needed to complete fabrication and repair workAn individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.**Who Fabricators Are*** Skilled tradespeople with expertise in stick welding and experience repairing and fabricating mining equipment and plant structures* Safety-conscious professionals who identify hazards, follow established procedures, and help maintain a safe work environment* Strong problem-solvers who can diagnose equipment and structural issues and develop effective repair solutions to minimize downtime* Detail-oriented individuals who can interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications and complete precise fabrication and repair work* Collaborative team members who work effectively with plant operators, maintenance personnel, engineers, and other departments* Organized and able to prioritize work, manage interruptions, and stay focused on completing tasks safely and efficiently* Dedicated to maintaining equipment and machinery to improve reliability, extend service life, and support operational efficiency* Versatile and comfortable operating equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and manlifts to support repair and fabrication work* Clear communicators who can share repair, maintenance, and safety information and provide guidance to operators when needed* Willing to build a strong working knowledge of Lannon Stone Products equipment, processes, and maintenance expectations* Committed to continuous learning and improving welding, fabrication, and equipment knowledge## Qualifications**Minimum Qualifications*** 3+ years of welding and fabrication experienced preferred, with demonstrated proficiency in stick welding and torch cutting* Basic math proficiency* Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of basic physics principles* English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record* Ability to work effectively in a team environment where all employees contribute to operational success* Willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and learn or perform a variety of tasks* Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance* Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment functional testing, physical examination, and drug screening**Physical and Mental Demands**While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to frequently sit, stand, crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 75 pounds. The employee must have sufficient hearing to monitor equipment operation and identify potential failures, as well as adequate vision to safely perform work around mobile and processing equipment.The employee must be able to identify and evaluate problems, make timely and sound decisions, and understand the impact of those decisions. Strong communication skills are required to effectively share repair, maintenance, and safety information with employees and other team members.The employee must be able to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks and interruptions, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. The ability to plan work effectively and adapt to changing operational needs is also required.Lannon Stone Products operates in a dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. Travel between company locations is an essential function of this position, and employees must be able to reliably travel between sites.The physical and mental demands described above are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.**Working Environment**Up to 100% of work is performed in manufacturing and mining environments around industrial and mobile equipment, with up to 25% of time spent driving between locations.
