About the role We’re looking for an experienced federal seller to lead interos.ai’s direct engagement with Department of Defense organizations, with a focus on Air Force, Space, and intelligence‑aligned missions. This role is designed for an individual contributor who understands how operational priorities, procurement realities, and long‑term program funding shape buying decisions inside the DoD. A successful DoD Account Executive at interos.ai establishes credibility early with defense stakeholders, builds a qualified pipeline aligned to mission‑critical initiatives, and navigates multi‑year sales cycles with discipline and persistence. In the first 12–18 months, success is measured by pipeline progression, executive‑level engagement, and positioning interos.ai as a trusted strategic capability supporting supply chain resilience and mission assurance. This role does not come with a pre‑existing book of business and rewards sellers who thrive in highly complex, mission‑driven environments. What You’ll Do Own direct sales engagement with Department of Defense organizations, including Air Force, Space, and intelligence‑aligned entities Navigate complex federal procurement vehicles, contracting processes, and budget cycles Build and maintain trusted relationships with program offices, contracting officers, technical leadership, and integrators Develop opportunities from early discovery through award and expansion Partner with defense contractors and integrators to support aligned co‑sell motions Maintain disciplined forecasting, pipeline reporting, and account planning in Salesforce Act as a subject‑matter expert on defense supply chain risk, cyber readiness, and operational resilience What You Bring 5+ years of experience selling directly into DoD or defense agencies Proven experience navigating complex federal procurement and long sales cycles Background selling mission‑critical technology, cyber, intelligence, or risk platforms Ability to establish credibility with senior defense stakeholders Strong executive presence, patience, and operational discipline What We Offer Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Flexible Time Off (FTO) + 10 paid holidays Opportunity to help shape an early, fast‑growing market A flexible, remote‑first work environment that empowers you to perform at your best — wherever you are An incredible culture built on trust, accountability, and collaboration across time zones and teams Our Core Values Technical Skill: We hold a performance‑driven standard across everything we build and deliver. Work Environment, Location, and Travel This role can be remote‑first within the United States, with optional access to our Arlington, VA HQ.
