Flexi-motion Rehab and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Bakersfield, California. Our team comprises experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, dedicated to fostering a collaborative and patient-centric approach to rehabilitation.

Work Environment

Located in the heart of Bakersfield, California, our rehabilitation center offers an onsite full-time work setting where physical therapists can thrive in their profession. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance while enabling you to serve our patient community effectively. The facility caters primarily to patients with private medical insurance, positioning our team to focus on delivering quality care without the pressures of high-volume caseloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify the specific needs and goals of each patient.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote recovery.
• Manage a caseload with a target of one patient per hour, ensuring focused attention and quality care.
• Implement and monitor effective therapeutic exercises, educating patients about their conditions and recovery processes.
• Advocate for non-invasive treatment options to minimize reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
• Document patient progress, including assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes, while maintaining accurate electronic health records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals for optimized patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to maximize their functional independence.
• Promote overall wellness and prevention strategies to improve clients' physical health and prevent future injuries.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At our facility, you will primarily work with orthopedic outpatient clients, providing services to individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient population benefits from tailored, hands-on care within a supportive environment, where we work closely with them to achieve their personal rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid and clean license to practice Physical Therapy in California.
• No disciplinary actions or adverse board actions on record.
• Proficiency in manual therapy and therapeutic modalities.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, to document and track patient information effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing individualized exercise programs.
• Experience in treating diverse patient populations with varying needs and conditions.
• Knowledge of current trends and advancements in physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
