Job Summary: Project leader in the Program Management and APQP process. Provide continuous Engineering support to production.Required Qualifications:Post Secondary Education (Undergraduate Degree or Community College Diploma) in the one of the following:EngineeringManufacturing (Tooling)5 years experience in manufacturing/ tooling; 3 years program management experience; P.Eng or P.M.P. designation preferredStrong communicator in the Spanish language, both written and oralComprehension of the English languageExcellent organizational skills, and attention to detailStrong time management skillsThorough understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint)Extensive knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Catia, UG)Critical Success Factors:Excellent attendanceAbility to interact with the Management Team in a professional manner to continually enhance the company's performanceDesire to learn the business, understand the production process by walking the floor, and participating in production meetingsA complete hands on approach is required to assist the plant in developing into a successful and profitable division of Martinrea, a multi-billion dollar companyAbility to work independently without supervision and with minimum directionAbility to work in a team environment and be both a team player and team leaderAbility to manage and direct subordinates on the day-to-day tasks in a fast paced environmentAbility to mentor and guide subordinates to achieve overall departmental goals and objectivesRespecting and understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationshipAdopt a common sense approach to identifying and addressing problems and control weaknessesEnsure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe conditionResponsibilities:Act as project leader in the program management and APQP processDetermine and monitor all project goalsDevelop and conduct project feasibility studies for designs and achieve key milestone datesDocument project management checklist and approvals (procedure#4.2)Recommend and prepare release documents for prototypes, new projects, pilots, engineering changes and miscellaneous ordersRequisition tooling, capital and tryout material for projectsProvide customer support on an as needed basisFollow up all facets of the project from cell layout, launch and run at rateAssist in preparing QuotationsValue analysis and value engineering ideasF.M.E.A'sMonitor and assist suppliers on meeting project goalsAsses and implement continuous improvement projects in relation to current or future project planningAbide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee HandbookWorking ConditionsPlant FloorOfficeEffort/Physical DemandsConstant communication with employees, peers, and managementOvertime as requiredHealth and Safety ResponsibilitiesMust work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and proceduresMust use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the companyBack-up Duties:Perform other duties as requiredMartinrea International Inc. is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process. Should you require any accommodations, please notify us if you are contacted for a job interview
