Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a meaningful contract position where your expertise as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will make an immediate impact. This opportunity runs from July 6th, 2026, through July 16th, 2026, providing dedicated support to a student at a respected college and career academy near Acworth, GA. Work just 14 hours per week during convenient morning hours from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, allowing for a flexible and focused professional experience.

Your nursing skills will be vital in offering comprehensive one-on-one care that includes management of essential daily and medical needs. In this role, you will work collaboratively within a caring school environment, ensuring safety, comfort, and health for a student requiring attentive assistance.

Qualifications:

Current and active LPN license in the state of Georgia
Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
Competency in monitoring vital signs, providing tube feeding, conducting assessments, and offering support with all activities of daily living (ADLs)
Skilled in transfers, seizure management (including documentation and VNS assistance), asthma management, and use of a suction machine
Ability to communicate clearly, adapt quickly, and deliver compassionate care in a school setting

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct care to a single student with specialized health needs
Monitor and document vital signs and daily health status
Administer tube feeding and perform ongoing management/assessment
Assist with all ADLs, transfers, and mobility as needed
Respond to seizures, implement care plans, and assist with VNS device as necessary
Support asthma management and provide suctioning when indicated
