Job Title: Electrician, MaintenanceLocation: Fort Campbell, KentuckyGeneral Summary:Primary duties focus on performing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment at a Government facility. Performs maintenance, repair, and modification of interior and exterior electrical wiring, exterior high voltage/low voltage electrical circuits and systems, and equipment associated with electrical components throughout the facilities assigned.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Performs repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial electrical/electronic systems, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.Tests, installs, repairs, and maintains a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, ATS, UPS, transformers, switchboards, controllers, door operators, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, IR scans, and other transmission equipment.Performs fire alarm system and/or call system testing and maintenance.Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces and the workshop.Assists maintenance teams and solely identifies and resolves failures/alarms related to critical building equipment.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:High school diploma or equivalency required.Minimum of 5 years of experience associated with commercial facilities.Electrician license preferred.Must have the skill and knowledge to use all hand and power tools, test equipment, shop machines, and aerial booms utilized by the craft.Knowledgeable and skilled in maintaining and repairing exterior and interior electrical wiring and components.All appropriate safety practices for working with hand and power tools.Ability to read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to troubleshoot systems using electronics, computers, and software systems.Use of computers for checking email, data entry on CMMS, and training.Work Environment:Possible exposure to hazardous materials, requiring use of respirators and personal protective safety attire and equipment.Lifting and carrying varies dependent on location of equipment, up to 30-40 ft. in height. Ability to push 50 lbs. (maintenance equipment) and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (supplies and equipment).May require entering confined spaces such as ductwork, pits, and crawl spaces.Pre-Employment Requirements:Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
