Mechanical Engineer

Facility Solutions Group (FSG) is a St. Louis based engineering and construction management firm that specializes in MEP/FP systems for commercial buildings.We are seeking a mechanical engineer to be part of our team of professionals. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of experience in building systems design (HVAC/plumbing) Working knowledge of building codes and standards Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT Experience with K-12, higher education, or municipal projects Familiarity with energy modeling and sustainable design Experience with VRF, VAV, hydronic, and packaged HVAC systems Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, ductwork and piping design Develop basis of design narratives and system selections Prepare construction drawings and technical specifications Ensure compliance with applicable codes (IMC, IPC, IECC, ASHRAE, local codes) Project Coordination: Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and fire protection disciplines Participate in design meetings, client reviews, and coordination calls Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for conformance with design intent Respond to contractor questions during construction Quality & Documentation: Produce accurate, complete, and well-coordinated construction documents Perform internal quality control reviews Assist with cost-conscious design solutions while maintaining performance and code compliance Construction Support: Provide construction administration support including site visits, punch walks, and issue resolution Assist with system commissioning and close-out documentation as required #J-18808-Ljbffr Facility Solutions Group (FSG)
