Job Description:\n\n The South Carolina Department of Health & Human Services (SCDHHS) is the State Medicaid\n \n\n Agency for South Carolina. The Business Analyst will support the medical code change\n \n\n requests by researching and making recommendations to policy and process owners and\n \n\n stakeholders for review and approval. The position will also participate as a project team\n \n\n member, as assigned, for related process improvements, Medicaid Management Information\n \n\n System (MMIS) enhancements and provide subject matter expertise for a future MMIS\n \n\n replacement. It is necessary to build and\n \n\n sustain a strong staff who understands coding, aids staff in understanding CPT/HCPCS and\n \n\n ICD-10 coding and apply the codes correctly within the Reference Administration sub-system.\n \n\n POSITION:\n \n\n IT Healthcare Consultant – Business Analyst -\n \n\n Advanced\n \n\n PRE-EMPLOYMENT CHECKS?\n \n\n State mandatory - Criminal, Credit and E-Verify background checks\n \n\n OBJECTIVES TO BE FULFILLED BY CANDIDATE:\n \n\n The principal duties of this position are to assist with the CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 code\n \n\n maintenance.
