Welder FabricatorContiTech is seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will apply technical expertise and precision to fabricate, repair, and maintain metal components that support our industrial operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in welding techniques, a strong commitment to safety, the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and a willingness to support maintenance activities on a wide range of equipment.Your TasksRead and interpret project plans, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately perform assigned workPerform MIG, TIG, and stick welding based on project specifications and maintenance needsComplete field installation of welds, including ducts, piping systems, and structural steelFabricate custom metal parts, components, and equipment to support plant operationsRepair machinery, equipment, and structural components to minimize downtimeSupport preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the facilityCollaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issuesEnsure all work is completed in compliance with safety policies and proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and safety expectationsThe EnvironmentSafety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must always be adhered to.Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.Work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around machineryThe job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.Collaborative culture focused on safety, quality, and reliability.What You Bring to the RoleHigh school diploma or equivalentTechnical training or certification in welding and fabrication.2+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenanceAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator, MIG, TIG, & stick weldingStrong understanding of welding safety standards and proper use of PPE (face shield, gloves, etc.)Proficiency with electrical and manual tools (powered saws, calipers, mill, lathe, plasma cutter, etc.)Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the facilityEnsure all work is completed in compliance with safety policies and proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and safety expectationsAdditional Ways to Stand OutStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems beyond weldingFamiliarity with preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability practicesThe PerksImmediate BenefitsRobust Total Rewards PackagePaid Time OffTuition AssistanceEmployee Discounts, including tire discounts.Competitive Bonus ProgramsEmployees 401k MatchDiverse & Inclusive Work Environment with 20+ Employee Resource groups.Employee Assistance ProgramFuture Growth Opportunities, including personal and professional.And many more benefits that come with working for a global industry leader!Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
