Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure (or eligibility) in the state
• Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting

Responsibilities:

• Assess students to identify strengths, challenges, and support needs
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans, collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and support staff
• Conduct therapy sessions focused on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation tasks
• Monitor progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as necessary
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date records in compliance with school and legal guidelines
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to a holistic approach for each student’s success
• Educate staff and families on strategies and tools to promote student independence and well-being
