VP Corporate Controller

Requirements: CPA/Big 4, manufacturing industry, ERP, Large team management (15+), Controller-level experience, experience with PE‑backed companies or public companies.

SUMMARY

The Controller oversees the Accounting Operations functions of the Company and its production facilities, including internal and external financial reporting requirements, preparation of financial results, maintenance of internal controls and the Company's accounting requirements (corporate accounting policies, technical GAAP research and external audit oversight). The Controller also manages all efforts to ensure the appropriate internal controls are in place and takes the lead role in attaining and maintaining compliance with best practices. The Company is exploring a potential future public offering, and this role will be instrumental in building out the financial infrastructure, reporting rigor, and controls maturity needed to support that transition. Directs all aspects of accounting, including, but not limited to, general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, account reconciliation, cash and banking, and the preparation of financial statements and related reports. Develops standard accounting, analysis and reporting procedures and is responsible for the execution of overall financial controls. Manages and protects the Company's financial and capital assets. Ensures that the financial reporting and policies are consistently maintained in accordance with GAAP as well as the requirements of other applicable regulatory bodies. Prepares external communications to accurately reflect business results, meeting the standards of transparency, and meeting all external reporting requirements. Actively and effectively manages the external audit and tax relationship. Provides value-added financial reporting and analysis to support the Chief Financial Officer and other corporate and operating leaders and their staff to help them make sound financial and operational decisions, consistent with corporate objectives. This includes guidance on GAAP and other authoritative rules and regulations. Applies a combination of broad managerial skills, business analytics and technical knowledge to negotiate, acquire, and deploy systems and services that improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of accounting functions across the enterprise. Monitors all relevant technology and competitive threats, trends, risks, and opportunities for the corporation and acts as a visionary to define the direction of future "best-in-class" accounting methodologies and solutions. Anticipates business requirements to ensure processes, organization and financial systems appropriately evolve to support the business. This includes staying current on accounting and reporting literature to evaluate and communicate its implications to management. Leads and develops a strong accounting staff. Provides a high-performance culture characterized by teamwork, high morale, efficiency, productivity, innovation and continually measurable improvement.
