Team Lead, Pharmacy Weekend

Job Location and Division Location: USA - Mesa, 7232 E Elliot Rd Division: Solutions Position Summary The shift for this role is Friday through Monday, 6:00am-5:00pm. The Team Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities assigned to them daily, under the direction of the Operations Supervisor. They are responsible for oversight of associates dedicated to warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product in their area in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality, and comply with all corporate and site‑specific policies. Training Responsibilities Mentor and train new and existing associates on specific distribution activities to help achieve established customer demands. Train new and existing associates on current Standard Operating Procedures, including but not limited to shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control. Assist in forklift operation and certification for new and existing associates. Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments, ensuring highest productivity levels. Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers. Efficiently and accurately load orders onto appropriate doors and trailers. Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined by Standard Operating Procedures. Research discrepancies that may occur in the shipping and receiving process. Customer Service Always conduct oneself professionally in appearance and communication. Communicate with customers telephonically, electronically, or in person. Prepare required activity reports accurately and efficiently for site management. Quality Control Responsibilities Use appropriate documentation to ensure all products and orders are received or shipped correctly and accurately picked. Verify products meet quality standards; report damages or discrepancies; stack, package, shrink wrap, and label product(s). Process all quality control functions as defined by Standard Operating Procedures. Report inconsistencies and/or problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager. Participate in quality meetings. Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance Knowledgeable and comply with relevant ISO standards that impact this position, department, and company. Execute all safety protocols, ensuring job tasks promote safety. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse; assist in security of warehouse. Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards. Participate in safety meetings. Labor Management Direct operations of the warehouse work team to achieve objectives. Assist associates and temporary labor in completing productivity sheets and capturing production and payroll hours accurately. Assist Supervisor in maintaining a productive workforce. Participate in establishing work schedules; ensure schedules implemented correctly and jobs assigned effectively. Responsibility and Authority Participate in department meetings. Initiate actions to prevent non‑conformities related to product, process, and quality system; identify and record problems; recommend solutions. Report all non‑conformities to the Quality Department immediately. Equipment Operation Responsible for upkeep of equipment and reporting problems. Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklift or other equipment daily. Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed methods. Maintain active forklift certification. Maintenance Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. Other Duties May perform clerical tasks such as answering telephone, scheduling, appointments, greeting visitors, filing, and record keeping. Will work evenings and weekends as needed. Will work overtime as dictated by business. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None Minimum Required Qualifications Education and/or Experience Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). 1 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment. Able to operate MHE. Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures in the warehouse. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Computer Skills: basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS functions. Language Skills: English (reading, writing, verbal). Mathematical Skills: basic to intermediate level for inventory checks. Strong attention to detail, accuracy; accomplish job tasks timely. Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully. Adapt to change and thrive in fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications 2‑4 years experience in warehouse/logistics/distribution. 2‑4 years proven forklift experience. Current or prior MHE certification. Physical Demands Occasionally: hand & finger manipulation, sitting, handling products. Frequently: bending. Constantly: walking, standing. Lift 21‑50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat or kneel. Work Environment Rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles; noise level usually low to moderate. Salary Expected base pay range is $23.50 - $23.50 (Actual compensation determined based on experience, skills, etc.).
