Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

We're all part of the same crucial mission, no matter what function we support -- it's to provide safe, clean water for the world, and to protect our planet's most valuable resource.Scope of PositionThis self-starting and motivated individual, as part of the Foundry Maintenance team, will be responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. They will be responsible for triaging work as needed and applying their own knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restoring equipment to operation. The Foundry Maintenance Mechanic provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.This position reports to the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor, and is on site based in Franklin, NH.Third shift hours are 9 pm - 5:30 am with overtime per business need.Primary Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.Informs appropriate management and maintenance mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting and may train other members of the maintenance team.Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor or Company management.Travel Requirements: up to 10% for training as neededRequired Qualifications3+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary.Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.Must be able to work respectfully and professionally with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment and especially must be able to clearly interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.Willing to work overtime as required.High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including [insert checks], and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cutting, welding and fabrication preferred.Ability to cover other shifts preferred.General Applicable Company CompetenciesCommitment to Watts' values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.Punctuality and dependability.Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.Adherence to Watts' seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.Working Conditions:While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company's Franklin location in NH.
