Job Purpose Position reports to the Co‑Pack/Retail Fulfillment Manager. Manages any staff assigned to shift, including employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions, and supervises all computer entry work and paperwork flow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for assigning work assignments for all warehouse staffing, keeping customer specifications in mind. Monitors quality and accuracy of all shipments according to customer specifications. Ensures department staff meets the requirement of each customer; updates changes and trains staff. Communicates with customers and responds to inquiries, implementing required actions. Ensures safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors per OSHA and RJW policies. Oversees completion of all computer data entry, checking for accuracy and efficiency. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies. Maintains and approves all shift employee timesheets for payroll; makes corrections as needed. Monitors overtime hours to meet department requirements. Completes daily building checks, notifying Co‑Pack manager of equipment or building issues; assists in preventive maintenance. Ensures compliance with AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines for food product handling. Assures all checklists for building, equipment, and safety are completed per SOP or policy. Issues corrective actions or work orders to resolve issues. Handles accident reporting, HR and management notifications, and emergency actions. Performs other duties as instructed by Co‑Pack manager. Qualifications and Experience Required Minimum 3‑5 years related experience and/or training in co‑pack; minimum 2 years related experience in a warehouse environment. Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred). PC‑literate with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Database. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets. Language Skills Must effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Compute rates, ratios, percentages and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in limited standardization situations. Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form. Determine root cause and corrective action. Computer Skills Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software; familiarity with labeling software (NiceLabel, Bartender) is a plus. Physical Demands Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use repetitive hand motion. Read and discern visual images with 20/20 vision. Must speak and communicate clearly over telephone. Work >8 hours when required, under stress. Must be in sound physical health. Work Environment Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. Noise level variable from quiet to moderately loud.
