Aquila Technology is seeking a Software Developer to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The team is seeking someone who can support mission‑critical space operations and decision‑support systems. Software Developer will contribute to the design and development of real‑time data fusion and command‑and‑control systems. These systems integrate data from diverse sensors, sources, and platforms to support operational and strategic decision‑making. Responsibilities Tasks include user interface development, software design and development, and troubleshooting of software and user issues. Interaction with other Group members and software developers will be required in order to integrate software, ensure functionality, and to occasionally resolve anomalies. Assignments will require the candidate to work independently, start quickly and contribute to a team effort. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. We are seeking highly motivated, exceptionally bright and creative individuals who can think broadly, analyze complex problems, implement solutions in a rapid prototyping environment, and who wish to contribute to the development of cutting edge technology in support of National Security. Employees eligible for this benefit must work remote 2 days a week or more to qualify. Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) – Team members are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500 every three (3) years for the purchase of electronic equipment used to access corporate services. To qualify for this benefit, employees must have completed a minimum of six (6) months of employment and must agree to and sign the Device Minimum Configuration Form prior to reimbursement. Electronic devices eligible under the Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) program are limited to cell phones, laptops, and tablets. Work Location: The candidate should expect to be onsite 5 days a week. This position is fully ONSITE. Any remote work will be by exception only. Clearance Level: Must have an Active Clearance Interview Process: first round will be a Zoom technical screening, second round interview will be in person.
