MEDICAL TECHNOLOGISTS - (Cytologist)
The Medical Technologist-Cytology is responsible for diagnostic evaluation of gynecological and non-gynecological preparation to detect evidence of pathogens, pre-cancerous, cancerous and other pathological conditions while adhering to the policies and procedures set within the Cytology department. Qualifications &/ Registration required:• BSc Degree in Medical Technology, Higher National Certification with additional training and certification in Cytology
• ASCP, HPC, CSMLS registered or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years post graduate clinical experience in cytology
• Registered with the Council for Allied Health professionals and maintains registration by obtaining 24 CEU's every 2 years
• Ability to work irregular hours and meet on call requirements
• Maintains interest in scientific and technical advances
• Demonstrates computer literacy and skills, self-motivated, innovative and flexible Salary Grade: BP 25 - 27 $102,310.32 per annum ($56.2145 per hour) Pre employment substance abuse screening is mandatory for all successful candidates.
