About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the chief staff officer and lead the overall management, administration, and direction of the association. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing all policies established by the Board of Directors, implementing association programs, and managing the association's financial affairs. This role requires a leader with a strong background in commercial real estate, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to set the tone for the association's voice through advocacy, social media, and strategic messaging. The Executive Director will also be involved in board administration, strategic planning, office staffing, legal compliance, and ensuring the long-term financial integrity of the association. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a deep knowledge of the NY commercial real estate and buildings community, emotional intelligence, and consensus-building skills to connect with a diverse membership. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in overseeing large-scale events and fundraising, as well as the ability to foster team building and cohesion. Essential qualifications include business acumen for fiduciary responsibilities, experience in legal compliance, and a strong background in financial management. The ideal candidate will be a supportive supervisor, have excellent communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Association or Customer Relationship Management Systems.
