About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead one of its portfolio companies, a B2B professional services business. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the company's scale, both through organic and inorganic methods, and will be expected to bring deep financial acumen and high emotional intelligence to the role. Responsibilities include partnering with business unit entrepreneurs to leverage finance in a strategic and supportive manner, implementing practical systems to streamline operations, and finalizing an ERP remodel project in preparation for a successful exit. The CFO will play a key role in the transformation and growth of the business, with a focus on optimizing gross margin and ensuring the company's financial health and success. The ideal CFO for this role will have a background in B2B professional services, with a strong orientation towards strategic finance, and a proven track record in private equity and M&A. A tenure of 20-35+ years, with a history of progressive career success, is expected. The candidate should be a passionate and committed leader, capable of honoring the company's past while leading it into the future. Experience as the top financial leader of a $100mm-$300mm B2B white-collar professional services company, or as the number two financial leader within a larger enterprise with a similar revenue range, is highly valued. The role requires a leader who can diagnose and implement financial processes that support the business, rather than dictating them, and who is adept at systems thinking to ensure the company's operational efficiency.
