Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Assists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab, supporting physicians by monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, and ensuring a sterile, well-prepared environment. Manages equipment and supplies to facilitate smooth procedure flow while contributing to departmental performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the procedure room with necessary instruments and supplies prior to procedures.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during invasive and noninvasive cardiac interventions.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing procedures and providing procedural support.
• Maintain proper sterilization and safety protocols throughout procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support ongoing education and training for new staff members.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT-R license and applicable state licensure or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• Have previous experience in a cardiovascular lab or interventional radiology setting.
• Complete a cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Maintain current BCLS (AHA) certification; ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrate proficient computer skills.
