Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced RN for seasonal travel assignment in Labor and Delivery. Responsible for providing top-quality obstetric care to laboring mothers, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients during a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patients.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and other vital signs utilizing FHR monitors and EMR systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Manage high-risk cases, including complex deliveries and postpartum complications.
• Administer medications, perform procedures such as fetal scalp electrodes, and document care accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital L&D experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with FHR monitoring, EMR systems, and obstetric protocols.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN or EFM certifications.
• Prefer candidates with Mom/Baby, Peds, or NICU experience.
• Display flexibility, dependability, and a friendly demeanor suited for high-pressure environments.
