Heath Village is a constantly growing and unique retirement community providing multiple levels of housing and healthcare for close to 400 residents and is located on a 100+ acre campus. Heath Village seeks employees with diverse backgrounds, motivation and experience or interest in working with the elderly. Many of our positions have on the job training and we promote from within. Apply today to learn more about our vibrant community! We are currently looking for an Activity Assistant to join our organization.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents
- Engage residents in activities, ensuring their participation and enjoyment while providing support as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Document resident participation and feedback to help evaluate the effectiveness of programs
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate special events and outings for residents
- The ability to work collaboratively with other staff members enhances the overall effectiveness of the activities offered.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication, interpersonal abilities and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in recreational therapy or a related field.
- Experience in planning and leading group activities.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals in a care setting
Schedule:
Sunday, Monday and Friday 10am - 4:30pm
