Adjunct Assistant Professor - General Education - Communication/Public SpeakingJob DetailsContractType of Position : RemoteUnitek Learning is a leading healthcare education organization focused on preparing the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals.Through its family of institutions, including Unitek College of Nursing, Eagle Gate College, Provo College, Brookline College, and Unitek EMT, Unitek delivers career-focused education designed to help students build meaningful careers while addressing critical workforce needs across the healthcare industry.Through our Workforce Solutions segment, Unitek partners with hospitals and health systems to create sustainable talent pipelines and expand access to healthcare education through employer-based training and workforce development programs nationwide.We are looking for an Online General Education Communication/Public SpeakingInstructor to join our team.*Master's Degree required - must have 15 course credits completed specifically in public speaking, communications,and/or linguistics.This position will instruct general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programsResponsibilitiesAbility to teach courses such as: Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Basic Sciences, Psychology, Public Speaking, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, Critical ReasoningInstruct students and develop coursework for the assigned classesMake continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative methodologies/techniques in teachingAssist with reviewing and revising syllabi and instructional guidelinesRegularly evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving curriculum and course objectives and inform them in a timely manner of their progressAssist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of programMaintain student records of attendance, grades, and assist with program data collectionUtilize the Learning Management System (LMS) as the tool to deliver course content while maintaining relevance and currencyProvide access to students for ongoing communication through scheduling of office hours, electronic communication and other appropriate methodsParticipate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure (if applicable), and stay current with college updatesCommitment to teaching and working with a multicultural and multigenerational student bodyParticipate in Quarterly Online Faculty meetingsQualificationsMaster's Degree required; Doctoral Degree preferredExperience which demonstrates: ability to mentor students; strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenPrevious online teaching experience required utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS)A documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments including but not limited to education theory and practice, or current concepts relative to specific subjects he or she will be teaching, or current clinical practice experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other MS office products as neededBenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment2 Weeks' starting Vacation per year.
