Director Of Operations Omaha, NE | $175,000 - $225,000 per yearA power generation company is hiring a Director of Operations to oversee the safe, reliable, and profitable operation of multiple power generation facilities. This role directs operations, maintenance, engineering, and staff management across the portfolio while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and contractual requirements, and reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations.Schedule Full time. Some travel to facility sites should be expected.Compensation $175,000 to $225,000 per year, based on experience.What You'll Do The Director of Operations will lead continuous improvement across plant safety, reliability, efficiency, and profitability, and will lead, develop, and manage plant staff to keep performance aligned with facility, company, and industry standards. This person will oversee daily facility operations to meet production and performance targets, and will ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and contractual requirements, including permitting and reporting obligations. The role includes managing hiring, performance management, compensation processes, and personnel practices in accordance with company policy and applicable law, as well as developing and controlling facility budgets, forecasts, and expenditures in alignment with long term maintenance plans. The Director will administer and ensure compliance with O&M Agreements, PPAs, LTSA agreements, and utility agreements, and will plan and oversee plant outages to optimize production, cost, and schedule performance. Additional responsibilities include providing hands on operational and technical support such as evaluating equipment issues and coordinating external resources, leading risk assessments, directing system upgrades and modifications, leading transitions related to asset acquisitions, divestitures, or changes in O&M providers, and serving as a liaison with regulatory agencies and the local community.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (highly desired)10+ years of experience in power generation operations and/or maintenanceSignificant experience with gas turbine facilitiesPreferred QualificationsMBA or strong experience with the business and commercial aspects of independent power producersDemonstrated expertise in environmental compliance, budgeting and cost control, contract administration, and organizational developmentProven ability to develop innovative solutions to technical, operational, and business challengesStrong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiencesCompensation and Benefits$175,000 to $225,000 per yearMedical, dental, and vision insurance401k retirement planPaid time off To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
