Job Description


- Support and promote the mission and values of our health ministry.
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients within assigned hospital units.
- Execute provider orders and maintain comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift.
- Seek feedback on practice and take proactive action.
- Ensure continuity and safe care through effective communication, including Bedside shift report, Multidisciplinary rounds, and Hourly Rounding (AIDET).
- Achieve unit-specific competencies and requirements.
- Complete all net learning modules within designated timeframes.
- Foster a culture of well-being by reducing alarm fatigue.
- Create a positive atmosphere within the department each shift.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by adhering to established protocols.
- Identify and assist in correcting patient care safety issues.
- Embrace a Just Culture Environment to promote error reporting and safe practices.
- Address issues appropriately through the chain of command.
- Participate in daily unit-based safety huddles.
- Understand and stay updated with the organization's overall strategic plan.
- Keep informed about unit-based nurse-sensitive indicators (e.g., CAUTI, CLABSI).
- Actively engage in quality initiatives and performance improvements to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to share expertise in various clinical areas.
- Assist team members and foster a cooperative work environment.
- Develop and implement performance goals based on self-assessment.
- Ensure patient education materials are culturally competent.
- Serve as a preceptor for new nurses, mentoring them in their roles.
- Contribute to DNV survey readiness initiatives.
- Demonstrate alignment with shared governance and the philosophy of the unit and organization.
- Participate in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Delegate care aspects and unit activities effectively.
- Collaborate in planning, supervising, and instructing nursing staff and assistants.
- Work alongside nursing students and their instructors.
- Engage in the peer feedback process for annual reviews.
- Participate in employee engagement surveys.
- Exhibit the characteristics of our organizational spirit and hold peers accountable.
- Maintain current nursing licensure and required certifications for the department.
- Complete dysrhythmia course prior to orientation completion for telemetry-based departments.

Job Requirements


- Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained prior to orientation completion.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to orientation completion.
- Current New Hampshire RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred.
- ACLS certification required.

Shift Information


- Days: 7 AM - 7 PM

Minimum Years of Experience


- 3 years required.
