Client Management: Managing the execution of a partner's scope of work, coordinating service delivery between team members and external partners through skilled communication and strong organizational skills, time management, and workflow management.ABOUT THE DEPARTMENTThe Program department's primary purpose is to design, deliver, and continuously improve teacher professional learning programs that strengthen instructional practice and drive student achievement. The team's main functions include managing and implementing scopes of work with partners, providing coaching and professional learning for teachers and leaders, and creating research-based content and learning assets tailored to partner needs. The Program department contributes to Teaching Lab's mission by ensuring that every partnership drives measurable impact on teacher practice and student learning, advancing educational equity at scale.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Program Manager's primary responsibility is to implement high-quality programmatic services, lead complex project work, and support school and district leaders in improving educator practice and student learning. Along with Program team members, project teams, school and district partners, and cross-functional colleagues, the Senior Manager, Program will also hold responsibilities in the following areas:Designing research-based, user-centered professional learning content, services, tools, and resourcesServing as a content expert and contributing to coaching, instructional design, coach development, client partnership management, and/or project leadershipManaging project plans, partner relationships, contracts, invoices, and implementation systems to ensure high-quality service deliveryCollaborating across teams to support partnership impact, continuous improvement, data collection, and organizational learning The Senior Manager, Program role is a mid-level position with some management responsibilities, depending on project assignments and organizational needs. This role is essential to ensuring the effective delivery of programmatic goals, strong partner implementation, and sustained impact on teacher and student learning. Success in this position requires strong collaboration, project management, content expertise, responsiveness, adaptability, and a commitment to excellent teaching and learning.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Work Experience, and Knowledge Bachelor's degreeFive (5) or more years of combined experience working in PK-12 education, with a minimum of two years of experience teaching PK-12 students from traditionally underserved backgrounds, with demonstrated evidence of impactThree (3) or more years of combined experience working with partners outside of their organization to manage workflow or deliver servicesThree (3) or more years of combined experience planning and implementing projectsTwo (2) or more years of combined experience leading or coaching school leaders to implement HQIM (in any subject area)Deep knowledge and experience with College- and Career-Ready ELA content and practice standardsExperience designing impactful professional learning for school leadersExperience facilitating impactful professional learning or coaching for school leadersExperience managing relationships with clients and stakeholders in an education contextExperience teaching or coaching at least one of the following curricula: ELA (EL Education, Fundations, Guidebooks, Heggerty, HMH Into Reading, HMH Into Literature, Orton Gillingham, UFLI, and Wit and Wisdom, S.P.I.R.E, Phonics For Reading, REWARDS, STARI, Wilson Reading System, Just Words, Aprendo Leyendo) Values, Skills, and CompetenciesStrong commitment to growth mindset for both adults and students, with a desire to continuously strengthen instructional practices and team capabilitiesAbility to design and deliver high-quality, evidence-based professional learning that advances teaching and learning outcomesCompelling communication and facilitation skills that build engagement and influence across diverse educators and stakeholdersStrong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects, multiple priorities, and tight timelines in a fast-paced environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdvanced degreeTwo (2) or more years experience as a school or district leaderExperience providing professional learning support and services in and for consultative organizationsSTRATEGIC OBJECTIVES AND KEY SUCCESS INDICATORS (KSIs) All team members are accountable for achieving goals set in collaboration with their Home Manager, which are aligned with Teaching Lab's annual goals, department goals, and Home Manager goals, as applicable. This range represents the full earning potential for the role, including opportunities for salary growth over time based on performance, tenure, and organizational budget. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $90,500 - $119,381. Teaching Lab will generally cap salaries for new employees at 105% of the midpoint of the full salary range ($119,381) to allow for continued growth in the role over time. There are two types of experience being considered for this role: Experience that is directly relevant to the role and Total Working Experience, in all fields. This includes: internships, part-time work, and consulting work. In collaboration with the hiring manager, the People and Culture team calculates experience based on the candidate's most current resume. When calculating the offer, consideration is given to candidates who possess additional qualifications (i.e., desired qualifications).
