Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - CVICU to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage immediate post-surgical cardiac patients with a 1:1 ratio.
• Provide care for cardiac patients post-surgery, POD 1-3, with a 1:2 ratio.
• Utilize Meditech Expanse for accurate documentation.
• Ensure efficient communication and workflow with primary nursing staff support.
• Participate in float assignments while maintaining patient ratios appropriate to the new unit.
• Assist in the development and implementation of a new cardiac surgery program.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Virginia.
• 1-2 years of experience with fresh cardiac surgery patients and direct primary recovery.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Proficiency with balloon pump and Impella training preferred.
• Experience with Hemosphere or Acumen equipment.
• Ability to work 36 hours weekly with 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks.
