Job Title: Commercial Electrician

Reports To: Electrical Foreman or Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable  Commercial Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, wiring systems, and commercial electrical equipment, with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems.
• Install conduit, wire, cable trays, panels, switches, outlets, lighting, and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Perform electrical rough-ins, trim-outs, and final installations.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, equipment, and controls.
• Test electrical systems and verify proper operation.
• Follow the  National Electrical Code (NEC)and applicable local codes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Coordinate work with general contractors, other trades, and electrical supervisors.
• Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
• Complete work according to project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Commercial electrical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
• Ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to report to job sites as scheduled.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Electrical license or certification preferred where required by local regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift and carry electrical materials and equipment.
• Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in varying job-site conditions.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
