Registered Nurse (RN) | Behavioral Health Urgent Care

Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Shift: Night Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: $32.50 – $48.50 (actual rate depends on experience) Position Highlights Be part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and the goal of moving health forward for patients and their families. A Brief Overview Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Helps patients understand conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; monitors changing conditions and re‑evaluates care objectives. What you will do • Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan, and coordinating with other health‑care providers. • Ask for medical histories, examine patients, document their physical condition and psychological status, and develop nursing diagnoses and care plans. • Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self‑care strategies, answering questions and providing resources. • Evaluate patient care by measuring outcomes against standards, reviewing records, and modifying care plans as needed. • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following infection‑control policies, medication protocols, controlled substance regulations, and legal requirements. • Document patient care services in charting systems. • Keep equipment functioning through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ordering repairs. • Keep supplies stocked by monitoring inventory, placing orders, verifying receipt, and maintaining readiness. Essential Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Board of Nursing license in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
