Accounting Clerk

Salary: $20 - $24 per hour A bit about us: We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As a key member of our accounting and finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks, ensuring that our financial data is accurate, up to date, and processed in a timely manner. You will work closely with our financial team and have the opportunity to contribute to our financial strategies and decisions. Job Details Responsibilities: Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts. Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team. Assisting with budget control by monitoring budgets and comparing them with actual expenses. Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports, assisting in financial audits, and managing financial documentation. Assisting with the preparation of monthly/yearly closings. Collaborating with the rest of the accounting department to improve financial procedures. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the construction industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other accounting software. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Excellent mathematical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
