Cyber Security Analyst

Cyber Security Analyst As a security operations center (SOC) analyst, you are the first line of defense, responding to and mitigating cyber threats in real time. You will monitor and analyze alerts, review logs and intelligence, investigate events, follow escalation procedures, recommend improvements, and collaborate with the team to restore operations and limit impact. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze threats using state‑of‑the‑art tools. Detect and respond to cybersecurity alerts. Review logs, tool output, and intelligence sources. Investigate security events and follow escalation processes. Recommend and implement security improvements. Prepare reports and informational documents. Assist in incident analysis and recovery efforts. Combine threat intelligence and event data to identify attacker patterns. Qualifications Experience with DoD information systems. Ability to support 24/7 operations via a shift work schedule. Top Secret security clearance required. High School diploma or GED. DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and CSSP Analyst certifications. Nice to Have Experience with DoD STIGs, SRGs, and hardening guidance. Knowledge of ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms. Ability to work well on a team. TS/SCI clearance.
