Chief of Staff

Amae Health is a Series B, venture‑backed Public Benefit Corporation delivering specialty outpatient care for people with severe mental illness through high‑acuity, in‑person clinics nationwide. Chief of Staff Amae Health is seeking a Chief of Staff to lead and scale our recruiting function during a critical period of growth. As we expand clinics across multiple markets and continue building our corporate teams, hiring exceptional talent—both clinical and operational—will be one of the most important determinants of our success. Reporting to the Co‑Founder & CEO, this role will facilitate both internal and external work streams, supporting various efforts including managing the office of the CEO, and enabling successful execution of strategic programs. Primary functions include special projects, communications, fundraising, hiring, administration, and C‑Suite planning. Highly cross‑functional, the Chief of Staff will navigate high‑priority, sensitive business initiatives in a collaborative and team‑focused manner. What You’ll Do Act as an in‑house consultant and strategic advisor to the executive and senior leadership team based on priorities and vision of the CEO Lead the process for development of the long‑term strategy and annual strategic plan in collaboration with the C‑Suite Develop and maintain KPI Dashboard and high‑level performance metrics Provide insights and develop strategic communications for the CEO In partnership with the executive team, execute and manage strategic projects and tasks, and operate as a self‑starter Produce and edit persuasive business communications Establish a centralized insights and analytics process to power decisions and strategy What We’re Looking For 2+ years professional experience in consulting, investment banking, venture or private equity investing, or within a startup organization Strategic and flexible approach to business problem solving Intellectually curious and can serve as an effective thought partner to all; bringing creativity, an analytical mind, and high intellectual horsepower High attention to detail, even under urgent or high‑pressure circumstances Experience managing multiple projects in a highly dynamic and fluid environment High‑wattage energy that is infectious across teams – the kind of person who raises the tempo of every room they walk into Passion and interest for Amae’s mission This is 100% in‑person full‑time role based in our San Francisco office in the Cow Hollow / Marina Compensation includes a base salary of $100,000 – $165,000 (based on experience) plus equity ownership, giving you a meaningful stake in Amae's growth. Total compensation includes comprehensive medical/dental/vision, unlimited PTO, parental leave, and programs built around employee well‑being.
