Service Deli Department Manager

What You Will Be Doing As a Service Deli Manager, you will exemplify and ensure strong customer service in all areas of the job while providing superior quality products that exceed customer expectations. You’ll lead a team to maintain fresh inventory, oversee food preparation, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating exceptional customer experiences. Main Responsibilities * Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast and friendly service. * Assist customers with product suggestions, special orders, and food preparation ideas.

  • Oversee all deli operations including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Implement proper product preparation and packaging techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and visual appeal of the deli area.
  • Schedule, supervise, and train department employees.
  • Monitor inventory levels, control shrink, and ensure freshness.
  • Controls inventory to ensure adequate product quantity, quality, and
freshness and maintains inventory levels according to division directives. * Prepare sales and inventory reports; conduct physical inventory every 4 weeks. * Ensures temperatures are maintained in all phases of preparation, display, and storage. * Ensure compliance with labeling laws, safety regulations, and company standards. * Perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate department records.   • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership ability to supervise and train employees.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and inventory control.
  • Ability to operate deli equipment and computer systems.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in deli operations or food service management preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with frequent exposure to refrigerated and
