Location: Maple Grove, MN (100% Onsite)

Pay Rate: Up to $62.95/hour

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development, assembly, and testing of advanced mechanical systems in a highly technical engineering environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for engineers with experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, product development, manufacturing support, and defense or aerospace engineering .

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, structures, mechanisms, tooling, and related components
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using PTC Creo Parametric
• Perform engineering analysis, testing, validation, and product development activities
• Interpret design specifications, drawings, models, and test data to ensure compliance with engineering and industry standards
• Support manufacturing, assembly, and production teams during product development and testing
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, and presentations
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and manufacturing partners to resolve technical challenges
• Assist with project planning, schedules, budgets, and continuous product improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
• 4+ years of mechanical engineering or product design experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Creo/Pro-E CAD modeling and drawing creation
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack analysis
• Experience supporting manufacturing, prototyping, and production environments
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills
• Experience with Windchill or similar PLM/PDM systems preferred
• Familiarity with military, aerospace, or highly regulated engineering standards is a plus
