Chick-fil-A Cypress Ranch is looking for a hardworking, responsible, physically capable, and detail-oriented individual to join our Kitchen team, with a primary focus on the chicken breading area.

IMPORTANT: This is a physically demanding position. The breading area requires standing for extended periods, handling raw chicken, lifting and moving products and supplies, and performing repetitive physical movements during the shift. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable performing this type of work consistently and maintaining a good pace of work.

Availability required: 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

To be considered for this position, you must be available to work within this schedule according to the restaurant's needs.

Although your primary responsibility will be the breading area, this is a Kitchen Team Member position. All team members are trained in different areas of Back of House and may be assigned to other positions based on their training, the restaurant's needs, and the volume of sales.

Main Responsibilities

Preparation and quality of food

• Work primarily in the chicken breading area and support other Kitchen positions when necessary
• Prepare and bread chicken following Chick-fil-A procedures and quality standards
• Handle and prepare raw chicken safely
• Prepare, cook, and assemble products correctly and efficiently
• Maintain consistency in preparation, portions, appearance, and quality of food
• Follow proper procedures for storage, rotation, and handling of products
• Maintain an efficient pace of work to ensure products are available according to demand

Operational excellence

• Work with speed, energy, and a sense of urgency without compromising quality or food safety
• Support other Kitchen stations as needed by the restaurant
• Keep stations stocked with necessary products and supplies
• Follow established procedures to minimize waste
• Operate kitchen equipment safely after completing required training
• Complete assigned responsibilities for opening, shift change, and cleaning
• Maintain a clean, organized, and ready-to-serve kitchen

Food safety and cleanliness

• Follow all food safety procedures, hygiene, handwashing, and handling of raw products
• Prevent cross-contamination by following established procedures
• Clean and disinfect equipment, utensils, surfaces, and work areas
• Maintain constant cleanliness and organization in the Kitchen
• Report any issues related to quality, food safety, equipment, or maintenance immediately

Teamwork and Development

• Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and leaders
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment
• Be willing to learn different Kitchen positions
• Receive coaching and apply feedback to improve performance
• Participate in operational and food safety training

• Physical ability to perform a fast-paced kitchen job

• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements during the shift

Who Will Succeed in This Position?

The breading area is physically demanding and requires energy, endurance, repetitive movements, and the ability to maintain a constant pace during the shift.

No chef experience is needed. However, you need to be responsible, hardworking, physically capable, willing to learn, and committed to doing things correctly time and time again.
