Security Specialist

Duties
The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as an Agency expert and point of contact for their assigned area of responsibility on issues pertaining to the APHIS Security Program
- Responsible for leading, implementing, and monitoring the development and administration of the Program, and the training of Security Officers and Emergency Security Coordinators.
- Provides physical security duties and biohazard security support for employees and contractors during animal and plant health response activities and deployments.
- Conducts investigations related to external threats to Agency employees.
- Conducts security and threat assessments related to APHIS facilities, programs, and personnel.
- Provides safety and security briefings and programs within APHIS.
